Hey there,

One thing everyone should know is What the inside of earth is like.

The inside of the earth consist of many zones. at the very center of the earth is the inner core which is made of nickel and iron. the metals are in a solid state because the pressure in the center of the earth is over 3 million times greater than the metals at the surface. surrounding the inner core is none other than the outer core which is also made of nickel and iron, but since it is less pressurized than the core, it is in a liquid state. the earth magnetism is produced in this zone. The mantle is also a liquid state, but mainly consists of silicon, oxygen and magnesium. The mantle is the thickest zone of the earth. The crust is the thinnest layer of the earth. it is solid rock and is divided into oceanic and continental crust. oceanic crust is thinner then continental crust. in between the mantle and crust is a boundary called the mohorovicic discontinuity. circling all these layers is the atmosphere.

So a so long story short: Earth's interior is made of 4 main parts : Crust (0-30 km thick), Mantle (2860-2900 km thick), Outer Core (2230-2330 km thick), and the Inner Core (1216-1260 km thick).
