The Atmosphere

the atmosphere was formed shortly after earth was formed. It is basically the layer of gases that surround the planet.

It is composed of:

Nitrogen- 78% (mostly produced by organic activity like excreation of plants.)

Oxygen- 21% (Same as Nitrogen)

Argon- 0.9%

Carbon Dioxide- 0.04% (Believed to have originated from volcanic euptions or meteorite impacts. But human probably have contributed to it too.)

Water- less than 1%

Well, that pretty much the main compnents.
